Official IS-F Drag Time/Dyno Time/Performance Thread
#541
I made my first trip ever to the track last night and couldn't be happier with the experience and how my F held its own. I went in with my only goal to break 13 and did that my first run. I was lined up with a c63 AMG which was definitely a little intimating. I ended up making 11 runs and was mostly in the 12.6 range, not bad for a 123k on the odometer, DA @ New England drag way was 600. My only mods are gutted cats and borla exhaust and I removed the spare. I just put on new continental extreme contact DW's in 245/275. I was very happy with there grip off the line I only broke free on a couple runs where I attempted to pedal dance a little to much. I also found my best runs were with no pedal dance at all. I'm officially addicted and can't wait till next week! I'm hoping I can break into the high 12.4's with a little more weight reduction, better timed shifts, and allowing some time to cool between runs. Thanks again guys for all your experiences and info on here, it made a huge difference.

I took my car again to the 1/8th of a mile and I was able to go a little bit faster but I couldn't break 8.7. My car has the secondary cats deleted and no mufflers with lightweight 18" wheels with all seasons. I wish I could get a better time an I am a little disappointed with my car; I used to have a WRX with STi turbo on E85 that used to go 7.7@94mph at the same track. DA was 1987... what would my adjusted DA time be?

Wasn't as nearly as good as I hoped (need slicks to run the giken+ Is350 4.09 gearing), this was the best run of the night (ran with my gf little sis so I think it would have been a tad better without her in the car also (This is also track that is about 100 feet shy of being true 1/8th mile, da was 200) won 4 of 5 runs (vs charger, camaro, mustang, s14, and lost against a 60's hot rod ford truck due to excessive tire spin)

Went back up to New England dragway and was very happy to break into the 12.4's. The 11.2 is my buddies 2015 m3 tuned with race gas.

I'm assuming you went to a track in Florida so it was probably hot. Use the density altitude calculator and type everything in and see what the corrected time is

It was in Bradenton, FL and it was about 83 degrees, i was just suprised that Newer M5 ran 12.3 with a driver who was at the track for the first time and my car came nowhere close to what its supposed to run ... :/

Here's from importfaceoff, I'm car #40. In competition I was 1 of 5 cars in the all motor class (the rest being Hondas) I lost in semi finals to a quick h23/slicked up 91 hatchback and the other guy 93 hatchback (who runs 14-15 second passes) got a by run and basically automatically got 2nd place.... So disappointing, but had a fun day. I'll edit this with da calcs
