Yes, VERYYYYYYY minor, but I feel them. The two front rotors are a tad worse than the two rear rotors. There is no vibration when braking and no other "signs" that something is not right...

Haven't seen anything like that. I'm not even at 7k yet. Have you had it checked out by the dealership yet?

Peter,

Checked mine when I washed it this afternoon. Slight concentric discoloration but no real grooving. I suspect you will find that the shallow trenches are located in the same location as the cross drilling of the discs.

Thanks for the feedback guys... I had the car in for 15k service this past week and they checked the amount of brake pad that was left and didn't mention anything about the rotors. Of course that doesn't mean much...

Peter,

My car has 18k miles on it now. Once you get the Joe Z duals are you going to ARD to Dyno?

Pat, I had my car dyno'ed at Hennessey Performance Engineering originally and in order to maintain as much consistency as possible I'm going to go back there to re-dyno.

Had my son's 2007 Tundra truck dyno's at ARD when I had the ISF dyno'd. Pretty much of a beast for stock truck. 325 rwhp and 330 ft-lb rw torque.

Like all vehicles, the rotors should have a minimum thickness spec on them. As long as the rotors exceed that spec, you can turn them. There is no reason to replace the rotor every time the brakes need to be done. I will say I've never done the brakes on the ISF, but I've done brakes on tons of other cars including the Z06 I used to have and I dont see why the ISF will be any different.

The lip doesnt matter as it will be cut off when the rotor is turned. Every car gets this lip.

Default Came across this today...

Just thought I'd post something for all the drilled disc champions out there. Here's what Lexus says in our Factory Service Manual about the drilled discs (I've never seen this for undrilled discs anywhere):

^^ Ah yes. Stress & Heat cracks.. Gotta love those....

Generally speaking -> A very popular side effect for drilled rotors after repeated abuse... (Like Race Day)

Good stuff Joe Z and Lobux, thanks for posting those. It lets everyone know what they should look for when they're checking their brakes
