Default LA Wheel and Tire Crome ISF Wheels

I was just on Ebay and searched "IS-F" and saw this club vendor is doing all crome wheels for the ISF. I was wondering if anybody is thinking about going this route. Keep the design of the car as is with crome instead of gunmetal finish. I wonder if they will also do the Gunmetal / Polished wheels as well. I think that is still my favorite setup.

the stock rims actually serve a purpose. If you notice the stock rims have a cut on them that is almost like that of a fan. When the wheels are moving their actually faning air to the brakes for better stopping power. those replica wheels dont have that cut on them...on top of the fact their ugly *** hell.

Here is a pic from the ebay listing. It looks and sounds like they take the stock wheels and crome plate them according to there website.

Chrome rims would need to come off in the winter. So you would need a backup rim/tire combo. Unless you are lucky enough not to have winter. Damn Californians.......San Diego-ites, San Diegans, San Diegoans???

Stay classy San Diego

Did you know the chrome plating process involves alot of heat. Once you chrome a factory wheel, you have degraded the strength of the wheel overall. Instead of just looking good, you have a shiny wheel that is not as strong as it was before.

Agreed with Joe, what a waste of a lightweight wheel made by BBS.

That first set of pics are not the same wheel, there are not 10 spokes. The IS-F wheel is a 10 spoke wheel. The wheel was designed after Japanese Samurai swords.

NO CHROME!

We call chrome stock wheels part of the "MLC package..."
(Mid Life Crisis)

Nobody under 45 is allowed to run factory wheels that are chrome.

In chrome, these look like every other horrid Pep Boys wheel.

I think the stock ones are gunmetal for a reason - the excessive brake dust is not as visible on my IS-F whereas my IS350's front wheels always looked brake dusty.
