Post Useless fact about the IS-F rims.....

According to a Lexus IS-F advertisement in EVO/CAR magazine (Europe) the IS-F wheels were designed after samurai swords...

they were also designed that way to help fan out the hot air from the brakes...haha

It's also the rim that's OEM in Canada. Partial Chrome and Partial Smoky. The US one's are smoky only. Not sure what they're doing in the rest of the world.

a katana is only considered authentic if they use the traditional TAMAHAGANE method. Where you have that wavy design on the blade. Which comes from the clay used to cause two parts of the blade to cool at different rates, giving the sword its curve.

Unrelated but the 2ES 300 and Mitsubishi 3000GT front ends were influenced by Samurai masks.
