I pulled over, shut off the car, restarted a minute later. Problem solved.

Nothing major though. Knock on wood.

The same thing happened to me once..felt like it froze and wouldn't work for a sec. But hasn't happened since....

I got my oil light about to come on. The F takes 10 quarts? I had no idea.....

Does anyone know what has to be done for a 15k service if anything?

THANKS!

The car has less than 9K miles (11 mos ownership). 1 warranty repair - CD changer intermittently doesn't play during cold weather. I had to show the glitch in order to prove their idiot code reader was wrong.

~24000 miles. My car is starting to develop some sort of issue with the CD player/radio during really hot days. I'll post more when I know exactly what is going on. Other than that, the car is a warrior.

i believe mines only around 6500, end of august will be my first year

had the 1k mile service, as well as 5k mile service

question though im pretty sure most dealership do it they put a service sticker of the date your next oil change as well as the miles on the top left corner of your windshield, if you don't reach that mileage, you should still change your oil after three months correct?

I'd say 6mos or 5k miles, whichever comes first. Change it sooner if no high way or frequent short drive, which not hot enough to burn off moisture.

You'd throw away a lot of good oil. Send a sample to Blackstone and have them test it. They'll tell you if you need to change it or not.

I'll be over 30K miles when I get back from my trip to Vegas this weekend. The only warranty repair I've had so far is that one of my headlights went out and had to be replaced.

7200 miles since 3/8/08. No warranty work, but I am replacing the back left tire from a nail puncture. They're not cheap!

I had a nail in the same tire twice (once at like 3K miles and once at 16K miles) and had it repaired. The tire lasted 27K miles with no issues.

Lucky!

I guess this particular nail was close enough to the sidewall that the stealership wouldn't patch it -- replace only. They mentioned something about the car being able to do 170+ as a determining factor in not plugging the hole....

I found the tire elsewhere for $120 less than they wanted at the dealership. Surprise, surprise!

Bought 3/1/08 - 29,000 miles - no warrantee issues to date. My wife's 2008 BMW 335i has been in the shop for several minor issues during the same time frame. BTW I did replace the front disc pads at about 25k, but I spent a track day at MSR and have participated in 3 SCCA Solo events. Looks like I will have to get new tires in 3-4k more miles.

4600miles and almost hitting the 1 yr mark. No problems except the occasionally squeaky brake that needs a hard stomp or two. The "Need Oil Maint Soon" warning just came on a couple of weeks back. Now it bugs me every time I start the car. I don't think that warning is connected to the Nav setting, because I have all the maintenance notifications off. Does anyone know why that light comes on?

The light has no connection with the maintenance system in the nav. It comes on flashing 4500 miles after the last reset and comes on solid 5000 miles after the last reset. It can't be changed.

Coming up on 10k after 7 months. Looks like it will be another high mileage year.
