Default Weird question regarding headlight assembly...

Hey guys,

Pretty new to the forum and appreciate how helpful everyone has been. I had bought an ISF recently and the driver side bulb was out. Thinking it would be an easy change, i bought a D4S HID bulb to replace it, and I find out then upon further inspection that the bulb inside the driver side assembly was a H11 halogen bulb and i didnt see a ballast or anything of that sort. Funny thing is, the other side is HID. Could it be the owner had swapped out the headlight for a non HID headlight assembly? If thats the case, any recommendations on what could work? I am thinking if thats the case I can buy another driver side assembly with the ballast and HID kit, or for the time being use a H11 bulb that can at least visually look sort of similar to the HID..

The IS250/ 350 had halogen as a standard option, so if it was in an accident, the previous owner may have replaced it with one.

If this is the case you can buy an H11 Halogen to HID conversion kit as a temporary repair solution to keep the light output close.

Probable to use a kit rated at 5000K for a close match.....

Are you sure you got to the right bulb? There were no IS F's produced without HIDs, so someone would have had to go to a lot of trouble to replace the HID with a halogen. Besides, it would be painfully obvious as soon as you turn on the lights. Was the car in a front end accident?
