Default 2UR-GSE vs 1UR-FSE engine shots

I have compiled several pics from CL posts and CL galleries. Since some of us are eager to get any new info on the IS-F's engine, I decided to post some comparison pics between the 2UR-GSE and 1UR-FSE from the LS.

Here they are:

Another shot:

Notice some of the subtle differences between the hand built prototype 1UR and the production 1UR. Also look at the differences apparant between the 1UR-FSE and 2UR-GSE. For the final production 2UR-GSE there will be some subtle differences compared to the current prototype that people saw at Toyotafest, but largely the engine will look the same.

The main differences looking at these pics is that the 2UR-GSE has a much less restrictive air intake and less sound insulation compared with the 1UR-FSE. The heads on each of these engines are a different design, but you can't really tell much from these pics.

Interesting... The IS-F has a single airbox with a larger engine, whereas the LS has a dual airbox with a slightly smaller engine (though neither engine is small).

I must admit, the engine does not look like any i've seen. Very weird to say the least.

It's funny that my IS-F "nude" engine shot has made it's way around the internet pretty rapidly... I shoulda watermarked that pic.
