IS-F Coupe?

Lexus has not been able to market the idea of a coupe very well. The SC alone is too pricey (and outdated). An regular IS coupe has yet to be revealed, although there were some talks about it last year which have disintegrated rather quickly and quietly.
The only explanation I can think of: low demand, higher insurance, and poor resale value. It's known that sedans sell more than coupes about six to one. Not only that, coupes are typically more costly to insure than their sedan counterparts. Look at the SC for example: you know it's a two seater, yet Lexus added those useless backseats. They only did that for insurance purposes. Finally, resale values on coupes suck, unless if it's an exotic. Even turbocharged versions of cars have poor resale value. The only way Lexus can keep resale values high(er): do low production vehicles, such as the IS-F. That's why there will only be 1000 IS-F made each year...

Lexus sells about 35k IS250 and 10k IS350 a year. The IS-F will not be made in big numbers because, for most consumers, the IS350 provides enough power for everyday driving. There is only a very small number of people that will buy the IS-F, mostly for enthusiastic weekend drives...
