New Lexus Performance Vehicles to Make World Debut at 2007 North American International Auto Show
Wednesday December 6, 2:56 pm ET

TORRANCE, Calif., Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Lexus will stage the world premiere of the 2008 IS-F sport performance car and an exciting concept vehicle at a press conference at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The IS-F is an all-new high-performance version of the popular Lexus IS 250/350 sport sedans. It will feature unique styling and a substantial boost in power from a V8 powerplant that will captivate performance car enthusiasts when it goes on sale next year. In addition to the IS-F, Lexus will unveil an exotic sports concept.

The press conference will be held on Monday, January 8 at 11:25 a.m. EST in the Riverview Ballroom in COBO Center and simulcast live to the Lexus display area at the show. A video clip of the press conference will be available via the Lexus.com and pressroom.lexus.com Web sites immediately following the event.

Last year was the LS 460 L, this year the IS-F and who knows what else...excellent! I am looking forward to this, assuming that they do stream the presser online. It says video clip afterwards, which would be ok too...

I have a feeling that pressroom photo is a photoshop, wait till the car comes out. I hope they make it sufficiently different from the IS 250 and 350...of course it won't be a brand new car on appearance, it will of course retain ties to the new IS models, but I want to see some visual distinction.

I'd be lying if I said I weren't REALLY FREAKING EXCITED. Two big reveals at one auto show; Lexus, you couldn't have shown one of them at LA? This IS going to be a long month. The exhaust hole looks funny because of the reflection the exhaust tips make on the car. I think it looks quite good actually.

I love how the sports concept is like brushed aside as just another Lexus concept that'll show up compared to the freaking IS-F.

holy hell, I just wanted to post it again! I am so freaking excited.

I hope this car will be on par with new M3 in terms of handling so that I can say shut the hell up to M3 drivers.

Seriously, who is taking deposit?

Sounds like a beast, but the IS350 is good enough for me. I imagine the car will need a longer hood to accomodate the engine.
