Default Mustang FBO/GT350 intake manifold/E85

Guys I found this video and thought if you have a spare 21:26 this is pretty neat to see and hear! Gotta love the domestics access to mods (neverending)!

This has to be one of the best sounding mustangs that I've heard with a GT350 intake manifold swap onto the coyote with supporting mods, tune/long tube headers and full E85

I'm happy with my ISF being FBO and soon to be possible 100% E85 tune that Rafi and JDMV8 are working on currently (fingers crossed it makes good power!).

Car made 453whp & 399wtq

Check it out!

Thats pretty cool!
I hope with the E85 tune a FBO ISF can make it to 450whp also.

^^^^^^^^That's what my hope is!!!

I don't think it's too far of a stretch considering that some of the guys out in Cali that are FBO put down 420-430whp FBO..........don't see any reason why another 20whp can be added through 100%E85 with the additional timing that can be added without fear of detonation??

^^^^^Nope, not true, there is enough fuel injector to compensate for a full E85 tune. I've spoken to Rafi and hopefully they will have JDMV8's car on the dyno hopefully this week or next week to see if the tune produced any appreciable results.

There is enough fuel to run the S/C with the port injectors aiding the direct injectors after 490whp to 525-530ishwhp. So I think the direct injectors can handle the load of another 30% possibly depending on how it's tuned.

Its funny...I see guys putting on GT350 intake manifolds, GT350 shocks/springs, etc....Why not spend the money and just buy a GT350?

This is like people buying F-Sport parts....what a waste.

I don't think the problem is whether there's enough fuel with E85. I'd be more worried about the corrosive nature of E85 and long term effects.

This is definitely interesting material here. First off, the stang made good power with a tune, some bolt ons, and e85. Now I hear Rafi and Simon are developing a tune for for e85? Can't wait to see the outcome!

Yeah an e85 tune would be amazing. Cleaner burning and 10-15+ whp would be great.

^^^^^^^^Maybe if you want to run full 100% E85 on top of the S/C fueling needs, then maybe the port injectors can't supply anymore than they already are.

They cracked the port injectors to aid in the fueling needs that the direct injectors couldn't (maxed out at 490whp) supply. I suppose if they weren't able to crack that portion of the fueling system then yea the ISF would need upgraded injectors to handle the demands of the S/C. Thankfully that isn't necessary, and from what I understand the fuel pump is sufficient for the higher fueling needs/pressure/duty cycle that the S/C is demanding from both sets of fuel injectors.

I have similar thoughts on the 3 series guys who upgrade with ///M parts.. But it happens to every car brand, AMG, Vettes, Stangs......, Even 'F'

Anyways, I walked into a Ford recently thinking about trading in for a GT350/R. Unfortunately, there is a huge premium out here in Cali.

The GT350 comes with the 5.0 that offers a flat plane crank, similar to those in Ferrari engines. They also come with better flowing heads, nicer interior packages, different exterior trim and better suspension.

The GT350 intake swap can be done for around $1000-1500 where as a GT350 (which is also a low production car) can cost $20k-$30k more then a GT.
