Default Good deal on Denso OEM plugs

Advance Auto Parts has a 40% off coupon that takes up to $40 off with no minimum (TRT41H). Stock Denso FK20HBR11 comes out to about 10.99 each plus tax. I'm not too close to the 60,000 mile plug swap as of yet, but I'm considering picking up a set.

Pretty good coupon for air filters etc, or whatever you need because of the no minimum. It does look like it doesn't work for motor oil, though if I'm honest walmart seems to beat most store's pricing on oil. Looks like the brembo rotors are excluded as well. There maybe some other exclusions.

Be very careful of eBay. Some of us bought fake plugs from a few sellers in China. This one is in California:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ark-plugs.html

Neither eBay or PayPal would fix the issue, but eBay did divulge that the seller has been reprimanded and can not sell spark plugs anymore. But the seller was still an active vendor.

Counterfeiting is a real problem.

Fair enough, but there has been a few posts with notes of counterfit plugs. With these you have them the same day and you can check them, however very unlikely that a big chain like advanced will be stocking fake plugs.

^^^^Wasn't posting about your post on Advance Auto Parts, but was just warning members to be careful of eBay, the second post. Sorry you took offense.

Damn, fake spark plugs? Thanks for the heads up.

What about OEM brakes from

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Lexus-IS-F-08...UAAOSwfC9XOriG

I have seen some posts from this forum saying that this seller "partscontainer" is legit.

I saw the fake plugs and i'm now worried about the ebay rotors.. Since rotors are a safety item, I'm just going to pick it up from the dealer when it comes time.

Not offended at all, my reply was in response to the second post as well, looks like you submitted before I did. I probably should have quoted the other post to make it clearer.

Thank you for this, I purchased these from Advance last night with the coupon and got them $102.66! Much better than some of the other prices I've seen!
