Default Frozen Nav Screen

Has anyone experienced this issue? I searched and the first thread that pops up is a how-to thread on repairing the issue. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...n-fix-diy.html This actually happened to me today when going to lunch at work. climate control worked fine but as soon as i tried to change the fan speed, the screen became non responsive. the only thing that works is when I am on the MAP screen, if i touch the screen, it automatically scrolls to the bottom right on each touch.

Based on that thread, its the connection right at the edge of the glass.

Just an FYI to all, I tried the repair myself but I didn't chip away at the glass to get to the traces correctly so I bought a new digitizer from a member here. To take the old one off, you have to heat up the screen because it is held on by thin double stick tape, very strong. I used a credit card to slowly release the tape from the digitizer. Then replaced and used a silicone in place of the tape (I didn't have any tapebi could use). Put it all back together and the screen works perfectly just like the original. No calibration was needed.

This is my pic. You're welcome. lol

Yeah, the circuit writer pen is a waste of time and money. Replacing the digitizer is the easiest way to go. The only tools you need is a socket wrench, screwdriver, razor blade, blow dryer and about 1 - 2 hours.

Here's the main Frozen Digitizer thread if you need it:
