Pics o Custom DIY on new winter rims&tires Focal 007/Blizzak WS80
I wanted easy to clean inexpensive rim that looked decent since there only going to be on for 3 to 4 months tops. So I went with Focal 007 18inch rims with 225/45/18 square set. The Focal 007 weren't my first choice, the rims I originally wanted were on back order so picked them up instead. I wanted add I little something to rims to accent my USB color. I didn't want to anything permanent in case I want to cell rims later so I went with plastic dip I tried two different color and settle on blue you see here. I used some high heat vinyl caliper Lexus logo stickers.

A unique look for sure. I was just in NY last week and was hoping to spot some Fs. I can totally understand the need for a winter set up there after driving through the city, especially when it snows. Looks good!

Winters can be mild or crazy in NY from 2in to 26in, huge temp's swings 30 degrees with melting snow drops to 10 degrees the next day. Then there black ice especially at night which I encounter since I work until 12:30 in morning sometimes later. Pot holes that can devour a smart car lol In 6 yes I've gone through 3 set's of front tires and 2 sets of rear tires due pot holes getting bubbles on my either 285/30 rears and 245/35 fronts all season tires that suck in anything deeper than 2in of snow. Going up any type hill was challenging at best. Driving on slushy roads with big temp drop was not fun. So decided to go with snow tires for Winter and early spring while they repair roads and my summer tires go back on in April unless it's mild March. Big wide low profile tires don't mix well with rear wheel drive nose heavy car.

Thanks for feed back, I've had the stripes on for nearly 5yrs before everyone started putting them. I even have pics posted up a few yrs ago of ghost strips I did. And during that time period I have had nothing but compliments for the most part with the occasional is not my Cuppa tea, comment. Which is cool I'm not looking for anyone else approval but my own. Hey its like that old saying "Opinion are like ( , ) everyone got one" lol.
