Looking to buy a '10+ F Car
I've been shopping for a few weeks and have a couple questions for you F owners-
- any glaring things to look for when looking at vehicles? Common issues, etc.
- is there an option for navigation to show traffic updates?
- I see some cars listed as "is-F base", does this mean there are different versions?
- is there a preference on 10 vs. 11 or any year up for that matter?
- does bluetooth via phone play music or just voice?
Thanks!

If you're getting the later model with the black headlights, they had an updated design, so if the vehicle still has the original lights, the inside housing finish might be peeling/bubbling. You're in AZ, so I think the heat and sun in that area would definitely accelerate this process. My car is an WI/IL car that has been winter stored since brand new (6 mos out of the year) and is garage kept during the summer months.
Happened on my 2012 IS-F when I was at around 20k miles but my dealership replaced both lights with the updated design free of charge. Just something to look out for (maybe use as a bargaining tool).

Hello and welcome, here's a few links to some threads. I couldn't link too many threads from my phone. Utilize the search function its pretty accurate on this site. Also, for the ISF equipped with Bluetooth. Yes, it does stream phone calls and music wirelessly. On that same note, we have found the sound system in this platform rather weak. It's not horrible but definitely could be better. Either way I don't think nobody jumps on this platform to hear how good the stereo is. The best soundtrack comes from underneath the hood!

As a recent IS F buyer. Go with 2011 and newer. In 2010 they added the day time running LED lights and Torsen slip differential. However, in 2011 they tweaked the cars' performance and they redid the gauges. The suspension was the biggest upgrade as it allowed for a less bumpy ride. And yes you can play music on via Bluetooth. 2013/14 has an updated look to display/navigation
