Valley Plate Class Action

Valley Plate Class Action
Hi Club,
I want to compose a list of all the people who have had this famous valley leak.
Please post:
-you have had the problem
-who fixed it (dealer, you, 3rd party, etc),
-Cost of repair
-milage of when problem was first noticed
I believe we can built a case against Lexus to force them to credit the people who have had to pay to get this fixed, also to pay for the repairs for cars that haven't been fixed yet.
At the VERY least, they should be giving people massive credits to fix the problem. These $1800+ repair bills are insane for a fundamental problem with the sealant.
The goal is to get enough of us together to where we can have some power and get what we paid for, a quality Lexus.

the real question is, where are you going to find an attorney to represent us. class actions aren't cheap and they aren't easy.
the other problem is that there aren't all that many people with valley plate issues when taking into consideration the number of ISFs were sold in the US. very little upside for a legal firm to take this on and would likely require us to pay an attorney in the beginning.

The winners in a class action always have esq. in their titles. Never once have I seen an actual victim get paid much of anything. Total waste of time IMHO.

I recall getting a couple of notices informing me that I was automatically part of the class action suit because I worked for one of the employers listed.. Of course, like you said they usually don't amount to much, so I didn't pay any attention to them. Then one day, I got a check for ~$4500 out of the blue! I was stoked, since it was basically free money
Though, I do agree that this situation probably wouldn't be worth pursuing since all we (ISF owners) would want is reimbursement for the cost of repairs. There wouldn't be much incentive for an attorney to get involved.

I'm sure Lexus corporate would respond well to a nice letter.. There are so few units out for the ISF, we probably didn't even hit their allocated recall cap for this model. Lawsuit seems a bit extreme.

Well, in a resent turn of events, the dealer wouldnt touch my car because it was "highly modified" with a nitrous control wire still left connected to the throttle body...
As car as class action lawsuits go, I know they are difficult, the only reason I would even propose this is because a very good family friend is a attorney who does them.
It would mostly be to they at least help us out without the threat of a lawsuit.

The S65 and S85 BMW engines are ****ting out rod bearings, and BMW told the class action suit formed on the forums to pound sand due to the amount of dealer recorded failures being somewhere in the .05% figure.
I'll be shocked if Lexus did anything, and if so, everyone knows the lawyers are the ones that get paid in a CA suit.
The example above of getting a large payout, was backed by the DOJ. Quite a difference when Saul Goodman is trying to take down Lexus lol.
