Is full throttle really 100%?
I did some data logging and noticed that WOT doesn't seem like 100%. According to what I see, it really looks like 80% throttle. Having a 370Z and seeing tuning capabilities from companies like ECUTek, I have seen adjustments that allow for up to 98% throttle compared to the 80% or so from the factory map. Has anyone else notice this? Does the RR tune increase the throttle percentage upon WOT?
You can see see the picture with the throttle gauge. The max percent I could get on WOT is 80% as indicated by the small red dot. The picture might be blurry but it's there.

It's probably the Grom unit currently for sale (there's a thread on it) and he's mirroring the image from his phone via Bluetooth??
By the way welcome to CL.... this is your first post, did you just get your car??

Thanks for the welcome! Just started a new post saying hello. Picked up a 2013 a few weeks ago...loving it!

There was a thread on this a while back by Mr slay. I also get the same 80% when using torque. I'm not sure if it's any different when using a throttle controller. Wot on the IS-F is 4.0 volts where in most other cars it's 5.0 volts, hench the 80%. Now I checked the throttle body voltage with the blade fully open a few months back, but can't for the life of me remember if it was 5.0 volts or 4.0. I will be checking this again maybe this weekend when I clean my air filter and have everything apart again.

I'll turn on my throttle controller tomorrow when driving as see if it would go past 80%. I doubt it though as the map in the ECU most likely has set parameters on WOT. I can't logically justify a controller overriding the ECU but we'll find out. I wonder if RR has or will be working on this. I imagine it would help push out more power.

If the system operates on 5v, I would assume 0.5v is no throttle input, and 4.5v is max throttle input. They leave the 0.5v on either end to identify open and short circuit faults.
So for example if the TPS wire rubbed against a wire beside it that gave it the full 5V, it would error out "TPS signal out of range high" instead of putting your car in a dangerous stuck-in-wide-open-throttle-condition.

Yea^^^your documentation with the timing plots and dyno runs should be a reference point to anyone who has questions about the legitimacy of the tune and what to expect when it comes to timing advancement with the RR-tune!
