Arrow Will the ISF run well with a blend of e85?

I have heard of many people running a blend of e85 to 91 octane gasoline and with great success. I wonder if the ISF can handle a blend of 30% e85 to 70% gasoline. Anyone who has experience in this, please chime in. I know for a fact in CA, the gas we get contains around 10% ethanol. I would love to settle this question once and for all.

Absolutely!!! I've been running a blend of 30% E85 since July and my car runs flippin awesome!

I should've started a thread on it but was leary on it because of all the negative and uneducated answers and fear that people have been fed over the years from Big Oil

Now that I'm FBO I data logged for Rafi and he said that based on my logs I'm running 5 degrees more timing than others based on the blend! He said for anyone here at altitude to start blending. The blend equates to about 95 octane and the tune loves it!

I got about 4 other ISF owners here local blending based on my results! Love me some corn

How much does it cost extra per tank for that?? And will it work without the tune just as well?

E85 is usually cheaper than premium by about a dollar per gallon.

Thanks guys! I will definitely be trying this out tomorrow when I fill up. I'm going to say 4 gallons of e85 and 12 gallons of 91 octane gas..... does that sound like a perfect equation?

Here where I fill up it's $1.69 your basically blending race gas cheaper than 85 octane lol....... saves me about $5 a tank compared to an all 91 fill up!

Yes, I blend between 3.5 - 5 gallons each time I fill up depending on how low I am. I would do 4.5 because I'm willing to bet you won't take 16 gallons total when you add it up if you fill up when the gas light comes on.

Ill have to give it a try, left 7k elevation in CO and came to 5k elevation in AZ so it would probably help.

Had it down in FL for 6 months, even bone stock back then it felt miles faster than it feels now with mods. One thing I do miss about FL lol.

How long have you guys been doing this? I would like to try it but I'm worried about corrosion of the fuel lines/seals over time.
