Default Smoother shifting in sport

Anybody else notice this about their car or is mine weird? Normal mode can be a bit jerky at times and holds gears when you don't want it to but in sport mode it is always so smooth you don't even notice it except for the exhaust noise changing. Manual-sport is of course still bang your head off the headrests quick, this is only auto mode

We sell a TCU flash for these cars, that makes the transmission shifting night and day. most customers complain about a sluggish shift, and like the Op mentioned, holding gears to too long in the Lexus IS and GS models. The flash takes care of all that. Sale price is currently $640.

PM me for more details, if you would like.

Oooo make a thread please! I think I speak for all of us in that we'd like to hear more. I know other vendors were working on a TCU flash but haven't heard anything yet. Thanks!

^ I remember seeing a thread about a dud tune.

OP, someone will likely jump in and say its your fluid levels. Run a search.

Yeah I've read lots on the low fluid levels but I'm not sure why the shifting would be absolutely perfect in sport mode and not as good in normal (since its supposed to be the smoother, less jarring mode), I don't think its a problem with the car I was just curious if anybody else notices this.

Sounds like you might need to fill your tranny if its holding gears too long. What year is your F

Does RR tune have any changes to the behavior of the gearbox shifts.Your gearbox should be smooth in both modes.

It had low fluid at one point, this is definitely not low fluid. I guess i put it into words poorly but there isn't any issue with how it shifts in either mode I'm just saying that sport generally feels better, guess my car just acts a bit different or has "learned" differently.

i haven't seen anything on this from rr. If they do, that would make me still want to purchase the tune from rr rather than buying an Ecu tuning device from any other vendor.

The tranny shifts just find stock. A 'tune' is just a salesman's advise..
