ISF and audio issue
Hi all,
I was checking out a 2010 ISF w/ 50k miles and notice the previous owner has installed the aftermarket audio system. The car dealer has reconnected the audio back to the stock form, but the speakers sound like a radio clock. The private dealer technician did not rewire correctly. Beside, the backup camera doesn't work and the rear truck can't open due to some electronic wire problem. However, the engine, trans and car handling are good. I told them to fix these issues before I could consider. Do you think I can have Lexus dealer to fix the audio system back to the stock sound w/o any problem if the private dealer can't do it right ?

Definitely don't go to the dealership to fix this, unless the dealer you are buying from will cover the bill.
Go to a trusted audio shop, should be less expensive than the dealership...and should be a simple fix (Lexus won't tell you that though...it'll be the biggest of deals and they'll charge you as so also).

^, Good point. I'm thinking to consider the car because it runs good. Hopefully the audio speakers can be fixed and restored back to the stock sounds at audio shop. The worst case if the stock speaker is damaged then it would need to be ordered and replaced. I want to keep the original audio system for this car.

Just get an exhaust like the Joe Z...you won't miss the audio at all, lol. Engine/exhaust sounds better hands down than the factory audio system....mark Levinson or not, doesn't matter!!
