Not a bunch at all. The 5 times I have tracked there, there may have only been 2 or 3 noobs at most. They have instructors available for drivers. Rules are discussed in drivers meetings. It's not a race and there is no side by side racing (there are designated passing zones). It is a lot of fun to test the F's capabilities on a small "technical" type track as well as test driving skills.
I would like to get to a bigger/faster track one day so I get closer to the top speed of the F.

They do recommend, if you've never been on a track before to have one session with an instructor which runs $75.00. Considering that the normal day is $214.00, they will give you 50% off since it's your first time out, so $100.00, you can put the other half towards instruction and a helmet rental, $25.00.

So looks like we've got about 9 people signed up so far! I will be calling the folks at the FIRM tomorrow to reconfirm our deal on December 10th. I will provide instructions on next steps of either signing up on motorsportreg.com or calling them directly to get our discounted rate.

Thanks!

Bump for updates regarding this scheduled track day event.

Do you still need to recruit additional folks in order for the group to qualify for a discounted rate?

I wonder how the Holden goes against the ISF as it is one of Australia's fastest cars when tuned. LS3 and they handle pretty good. Great looking track to, pity i cant make it just a tad to far.

You shouldn't have 2 many issues with them depending on which model you get.

There under gripped and are reasonably heavy.

The later models depending if its an HSV special are supercharged and have well in excess of 500 + HP.A normal one will have in the 400-420 HP range.

Any updates on whether or not we're still scheduled to meet up at The FIRM on the 10th of December? I have a buddy with a Camaro Z28 that's itching to run his car hard on this track with us.

I will reconfirm with the folks at the FIRM again, but last I heard - first time attendees are eligible for 100 dollars off their entry fee (full-day event), and returning attendees arriving with first time attendees are eligible for 50 dollars off.

To reserve this pricing, please call them directly and mention that this is for the December 10th Open Track Day event and tell them you're with Club Lexus. (352) 473-2999

Regards,
Sameer

Sameer,

Thanks for the update. I'm registered for the event and I definitely took advantage of the first time attendee 50% off promotion.
