Thanks again for the warm welcome and all the help. I just paired my phone last night (I totally procrastinated on this) and now I'm looking into trying to get rid of an odor in the car. Most of it has gone when I shampoo'd the rug and mats but you can still smell it. Looking to clean my seats and get some air freshener.

Just want to say I've been getting some helpful private messages. Really glad I joined this site. Loving the IS-F. Trying to keep her at 24mpg or better but that noise...that noise...wow.

Ya, once that 5.0 starts going over 3,600 RPM's........if you keep your foot down, just hold onto something. 100 will come in no time, and that's where the power band just gets started.

Now remember, 91 octane only!!!

There are a few articles on YouTube about steam cleaning the interior, that should help a lot.

There are a few products on AutoGeek.net as well to clean the A/C system and vents.

Lol.......... I hope you didn't buy the F to try and maximize gas mileage?

Enjoy the car for what it's meant to be, and that's utilizing your right foot judiciously when applicable

Gas is cheap enough now to not really worry about gas mileage with this thing!

LOL

I'll definitely try to have more fun with it.

I just checked the oil for the first time and saw the oil looked pretty clear. Maintinence records show it was serviced 4000 miles ago. I did notice it was a quart low. I put in about 3/4 quarts.

There has t been any issues of ISFs burning oil is there? I don't find any oil puddles so I assume the oil level is normal for that many miles?

I burn zero oil in my F, I've never had to add any oil in between oil changes. You should look into getting the AOS from RR-Racing I think it's a must along with the bushings from Figs or RR

for regular service any mechanic that are familiar with japanese cars will do..the F has no special service parts that require specialized mechanics like a ferrari
I bought my own spark plugs and ask our mechanic to put them in, I think it was around $80 labor. It uses a lot of engine oil, but procedure is like any other car. Air filters and cabin filters can be replaced by yourself, super easy
