Default Most miles per tank?

I know we didn't get our cars for mpg, but I was just wondering. I normally get ~250 miles/tank commuting back and forth to work. Its ~40 mins to and 1 hour back and 30 miles. Yesterday I had to go out of town around NC. I ended up driving 300 miles, with 4.6 gallons left. Mostly hwy driving ~70-80 mph. My MPGs averaged to about 24 and some change.

I still surprised me with how well our cars still do with some spirited driving here and there. How far have you guys gone on one tank?

I would say just average commuting I get about 245-250 a tank. but on the freeway, like when I go to socal, I get about 28mpg cruising at 80-85mph

Every tank I tell myself I'm going to drive it like a granny but somehow end up doing a couple pulls I've averaged 220-230 mixed. Haven't taken a trip yet in this so great to see it'll get high 20s!

I got 332 on the way home from the VA mountains (to NC). I was pleased, but running on fumes when I filled up.

extended road trips, its not difficult to get 330-360 per tank, just driving around town and what not its around 250 or so.

I usually average about 275 for my daily driving around town and have gotten 315 with mostly hwy and some town driving.

average city/hwy mixed driving with some pulls should get you about 230-270 and doing 80mph on long trips seems to have the most fuel economy. i just recently took a 320 mile round trip and still had a little bit of gas left before my warning light was gonna come on.

I was thinking the same thing! I mostly do city driving so I don't think I'll ever have an average like that outside of a road trip!

My commute is ~80/20 Hwy/City and I average ~580 km (360 miles) per tank. This is with a couple of pulls daily. Mind you I tend to run the tank down a bit past the gas light.

Knock on wood, but that would be funny to use that against a cop if one of us were to get pulled... "But it has the most fuel economy at 80..."

This can't be right. There's no way your getting 150 miles more per tank. Pic or it didn't happen. If I get 225 miles per tank I pat myself on the back. 360 miles a tank you would need a bigger tank.
