Default 3 year old and isf....

Today my wife kids came to visit me at my work shop and my wife comes up and said my daughter got on and stood on my isf hood lol. My wife was chasing down our one year old I guess. I Sure got wide eyed after my wife told me but all is well. I only had to wipe off smudges. Anybody else have stories that are similar?

NO kids or wife here.

I can tell you that if I had a kid, and I found out they jumped on the hood, they would probably lose all their privileges until further notice, would probably be grounded until further notice etc etc.

All in all, I don't think the garage is a place for kids to venture into, at least not in mine. Too many power tools, detailing chemicals, too much liability.

You should install a a key combo lock on the door to keep them out.

3 elementary school age kids here. They help me start the car or just push button while I'm in drivers seat. They know how much I love the F and help with the wheel washing duty on Sundays. They've knicked the F while riding bikes etc etc. The F is replaceable the love and joy my kids give me is priceless .

The most I've done is sit my daughter on my lap and have her turn the vehicle on/off. Also, pull in and out of the driveway as she steers the wheel or at least she thinks she is... Otherwise she's well mannered. She doesn't step on the door sill as she enters/exits unless I give her the okay. She doesn't press her shoes against the seats, Doesn't press any of the light switches, door switches. Puts a smile on my face, her cousin is a different story...my remedy for her is to make sure we're riding in my wife's MB GLK350 and let her deal with it...lol

Back when my kids were that age, the neighbor kid was out in the front yard playing with my boys and my wife. My wife turned around to see the neighbor kid dragging a jagged rock the size of a grapefruit across the hood of my car saying "choo, choo". It was not the F, only a Ford Focus SE, but still...

Well stated. The F is a car that is replaceable, and I got over the thought of keeping it pristine AND having a happy 3-year-old at the same time. He enjoys starting it and steering with it on our street. Perhaps one day, this classic will be his..... :P
