Default How big of a difference do ppe headers make?

My current setup is stock besides a custom dual exhaust (no resonators or mufflers). Would the headers make a noticeable difference? At the moment id likely only purchase headers without the tune. I'm just trying to decide if the $1500 is worth it or not.

When installed properly, they make a BIG difference. Do a search, there are many threads in this sub-forum describing the benefits of PPE Headers, both UEL and EL

Are you running headers without a tune? If so have you encountered any hiccups?

I literally just picked up my car from having PPe headers installed!! And is a huge difference it's like driving on sports mode at all times, it's a little louder than I would like but the power makes up for it!!

Is it mainly just a gain in top end power? How much did they charge you for the install if you don't mind me asking?

Would you say you get your money worth at $1500?

Yes, the dreaded install part. How much should I expect it to run me?

I'm a believer. Currently have PPE's "standard" headers, but will soon be removing those and installing long tube equal length pipes.

Edit: The local shop charged me for 8 hrs. of labor to install. I also needed new O2 sensors and had an alignment done, as the front subframe needs to be removed. The total exceeded the purchase price of the headers.

8 hours of lift time at what ever hourly rate your shop charges PLUS
2 hours or so if you have cats welded in as I did

^^^^^^^^This......is why I'm going to tackle the header install with a few local ISF owners and save myself that install cost!

If the cost of getting the headers is the issue, why not get the RR racing tune. After the tune, with the stock headers ,1st and second gear spin with the Bridgstone RE71R
275 wide tires.
