Default ISF to GTR to ISF

I'm back in the F family! I had my red 2008 ISF a couple years ago and loved it. I had the opportunity to lease a GTR last year and I couldn't pass it up. The GTR is an animal and is a great progression from the F. The speed is crazy and it is planted in the corners. There was just something I missed about the ISF. It has been on my mind ever since I turned the GTR in. The ISF is the perfect all around car in my mind. Rare, sleeper, reliable, comfortable, 4 doors, unique, V8, etc. I flew to Toronto this weekend and drove it back down.

Welcome back! Did you have much maintenance in the year that you had the GTR?

Those are both great looking cars!
I'm curious as well about your experience with the GTR. How many miles did you put on it? Did it have any mechanical problems during your ownership?
welcome back!

Welcome back haha I too would love to hear about your time of ownership and costs involved. The thought of launching that thing always brings a smile to my face

I only owned the GTR for 6 months and turned it back in. That was a year ago and the F has been on my mind ever since. I put over 10,000 miles on it and it was a dream. I launched it 5-6 times and was never able to get it to its full potential speed wise. It is definitely the ultimate track car from the factory. The speed is incredible and the ride quality is better than the F. Race mode makes it so easy to take a corner and comfort mode is great for cruising. I didn't have any problems with it and the only maintenance I had to do was an oil change. It did need tires around the time I turned it in. The tires we're loud after like 6K miles. The transmission clunks and churns but it just gives it a mechanical feel that I liked. Shifts were hard and precise when you needed them. The engine sounded like a washing machine but could be fixed easily with exhaust or a downpipe.
General ownership wise, you do get worried about taking it some places. It can be a great DD in my opinion but I was just worried about parking it in some places. It got a lot of attention from young guys in Hondas. Other cars like corvettes or mustangs didn't mess with it. People would come up to me all of the time asking what it was. Some would ask if it was the new mustang or a 370Z.

I wouldn't be able to afford the GTR long term with 8K dollar brake services and etc. I feel like I can service the F by myself mostly.
