Default Throttle blip

I cant hear the throttle blip on the down shift do you have to be high in the rev range or in manual mode or maybe the standard exhaust is to quiet???

It is fairly quiet on stock exhaust but anywhere above ~4k you should be able to hear it. Or you can just go aftermarket and have downshifts that sound like an exotic car is going by (bazooka)

After the Borla and Magnaflow quad upgrade, the downshifts sound evil now. Especially if having to drop several gears suddenly

Yep same here, never even noticed it with stock -- I'm sure it was still there but cats and stock resonator killed it

I find it is most pronounced when in manual mode and downshifting from higher rpm's, otherwise you have to listen for it. I have a stock exhaust.

Both. No blip unless you are in manual, and no drama unless you are at reasonably high rpm.

Stock = Can be heard but not unless higher in the rev range or paying attention
Exhaust = Very easily heard. Especially in manual mode, i hear mine all the time when downshifting unless very low revs. Its something i never get bored of and enjoy hearing just as much as the first time i heard it :-) Ps Its almost good enough to warrant an exhaust on its own lol

This is the exact reason why I will be trying to buy the bazooka exhaust during my first week or two of ownership lol. That must sound amazing!

Its fantastic, even downshifting to come to a stop @ 1500 rpm in auto the downshift sounds ridiculous.

False, there is blipping when in Sport mode and auto. You don't brake hard enough hahaha
Try it, auto, sport and hard braking. It'll blip.

Agreed. On my route to work i go down a hill with a curve at the bottom, breaking going into that curve in auto+sport, it down shifts and rev matches pretty significantly.

I don't brake hard enough? That's comedy. No, never heard it blip in any mode other than manual, and the documentation from Lexus does not support your assertion. Rev match is only enabled in manual mode.

Mine blips in manual only above 2000 rpm. I get a blip in auto/sports mode while braking as well. Though thinking about it, only while going down a hill. Maybe I haven't tried braking on flats in auto/sports.
