Default rear view mirror came off from the windshield.

sup fellow, I found this today these afternoon. I cleaned the rest of the adhesive that was on the windshield, but is this epoxy going to work? thanks...

There are are instant glues specifically made for mirror attachment. I don't know which would be better.
Loctite 312

What's the temperature rating of the glue? It can get really hot during the summer, and it might just come off again.

I've checked some adhesive, but most of them doesn't have rating on temperature, even the one for rear view mirror.ill go to AutoZone and buy one specific for the mirror.

You might want to call a windshield/glass replacement company to see what they use since they have to re-attach and take off mirrors every day

exactly what I bought, so far its holding up...i bought the extra strength.

I actually started noticing this too on my F it's loose and needs to be adjusted flops down abit

It's probably the screw under the cover of the mirror mount. Easy fix.

I had to do this years ago in another car. What a pain in the a$$ it was. Hard to keep it still while glue dries. They may have came out with a better solution as that was over 10 years ago.

Good luck. Get your front window tinted or get a strip. It will help with this.

So far its been holding up pretty well. Its going to be hot this week in so.cal, so ill see...

Black RTV will hold up to 500°F and it also resist chemicals if Permatex RVM Adhesive doesn't work.
