Default Does the opening of the 2nd intake noise go away after exhaust is added?!

Just wondering does it truly go away or is it still there just not as noticeable?! When I was on the stock exhaust, I really LOVED the sound of the 2nd intake opening up at 3,600 rpm, as do/did many of us. Though I truly love my Joe Z exhaust, every since installing it, you can not hear the 2nd intake opening up any longer😔! Why is this?! I personally don't think the Joe Z is THAT much louder that it's covering the sound of the 2nd intake opening but maybe it is?!?
And of course you can still feel the 2nd intake opening but I'm just speaking on the sound. Lmk what you guys think!

Doesn't go away, just gets covered up. With the bazooka/borla I have to really try to listen for it to hear it anymore. Bit of a bummer but it sounds so fantastic I don't mind much

I can still hear mine with the Borla when the flap opens up! Was worried about not hearing it when I got the exhaust but it's still there! Granted it's mixed in now with the sound of the Borla also but it's a little bit quieter than the Joe-Z and that might be the difference in hearing the intake or not?

Basically how I feel about the Joe Z....love the sound of the Joe Z...BUT, I also loved the 2nd intake opening sound, lol. Atleast it got "replaced" by another good sound, lol! Guess we can't have the best of both worlds ha-ha!
I still have all stock intake parts....think going with an aftermarket tube will open up/bring back the sound a little more?!

Haven't been able to hear it for the past 30k miles.. Exhaust covers it up.

I still hear mine with the HKS. Sounds like all motor after the flap opens. Just to be sure, double check you got a good seal on the air box!

I could be wrong but I remember someone saying that the aftermarket tubes make the 2nd intake sound even less obvious, I don't have one myself so I can't tell you for sure, you can definitely still here the 2nd
intake but it's hard unless you're trying to

I still hear mine, pretty easily. The intake tube didn't make any noticeable changes in sound, while the headers gave the relatively quiet borla w/ hi-flow cats more bass.

It's still there for me. It's just less noticeable now since my car isnt super quiet before the intake opens.

Still hear it with Borla, actually Borla gets quieter at higher RPM and second intake is more noticeable then

Just get the RR racing intake / tune and your car will sound like a beast. It adds a throaty sound that no exhaust can and all of the other cone intakes are dog crap so you'll have sound but lose power. I can hear my intake over my PPE headers / Joe Z exhaust, and the power is nuts.

Smelling a huge marketing opportunity here.

So if BMW can make the 3 cyl. i8 sound like a hot V12 at full throttle, isn't the solution here just another device like a throttle controller that plugs into the pedal?

I want mine to sound like an LFA.

I have an Xforce exhaust and have to admit like a few others have mentioned, its drowned out. I can still hear it but the exhaust also gets louder as your rev it.

When stock, given the car was so quiet, its very noticeable. Now it has more noise to compete with so its not necessarily a bad thing.

I couldnt wipe the smile off my face when i drove out of the exhaust shop lol
