Default anyone have a picture of an optima redtop installed

was just looking for a couple pics of a red top properly installed. i got one installed and they did use the height adapter it came with but i can't tell if the battery bar is fitting properly across the top and the plastic cage that goes around the battery looks wierd.....should that black cage even be in there still?

thanks!

Looks like maybe I got mine in a little more snug?

thanks pushtape! yeh i guess mine is a little janky, i could have sworn i seen one without that black frame/cage around it. but i guess you must have that since that is what the bar across the top attaches to yeah?

I don't think the bar across the top but some of the cabling does (positive terminal and something else, I forget). So it seemed to make more sense to keep it in there even if it doesn't fit the battery

I'm guessing you didn't watch them install it? Looks like they might have went a little crazy with the anti-corrosion stuff too lol

At least you still have your clamp. The bottom of the bay on mine is damaged as well.
Just installed a Bosch AGM battery yesterday and lost my clamp for the SECOND time. It is somewhere underneath and not easily accessible (and will eventually fall out and be lost)...poor design IMO.

thanks!

I installed mine with the taller of the 2 provided adapters. I tried with and without the black plastic cage and it didn't make too much of a difference...the bar kept it snugly in place. If you use the shorter adapter, the battery will sit too low and the bar will awkwardly squeeze the plastic cage.

Here's what mine looks like:
