Default Back to the Racetrack with the RR Tune.

So this past weekend had the opportunity to run Pittsburgh International Raceway 2.9 miles 19 turn torture test. Numbers are in: picked up over 3 seconds off my PB from a 2:09 to 2:06 and top speed from 125 to over 128 on front straight.

Enjoy.

Nicely done!

Car is looking great by the way.

Glad to see you've noticed some improvements.

Will be the next thing I want to focus on with my car.

Thanks man with better driver, sticky R compound tires and shutting off all the stability controls more on the table. Just for reference a Friend took me for a ride in his Z06 (505 hp) and he is running 1:56 laps. This guy can drive like crazy no stability controls for him! Hes been on the Nordschleife - Nürburgring.

Just for reference here is a Cayman R running same track 2.5 seconds faster.

Nice runs! Kind of crazy didn't look like the Cayman was running that quick, because his car was quieter than yours, but I'm assuming his car is about 500lbs lighter?

Curious what tires are you running and the sizes?

Im running Michelin Pilot Sport Cups 255/35/19 & 275/30/19. I believe the Cayman comes with Sport Cup 2's standard.

Isn't that about as sticky as you can get without going to a full R-compound? Also do you run those on the streets, or do you swap out to a more street oriented tire?

So just for clarification your running the first generation Pilot Sport Cups? Because the Sport Cup 2's succeeded them correct?

BTW I'm getting my PSS tires on today that's why I was curious about the Pilot Sport Cup's as a upgrade to the PSS maybe down the road
