Default ISF Front/Rear Strut Braces Installed

So if you remember I bought an RCF strut bar complete and test fitted it to see if does fit but requires modification. (still have it for sale by

the way)

I was not done with my search for more rigidity my search of previous post should that ISX50 strut bars would fir the F so I found these Ultra Racing 2pt. Front Strut Bar UR-TW2-830 For 2006-2013 Lexus IS250. What I liked about these it here is no pivot points they are solid pieces that mount to the top hats. Got the front and rear sets on ebay cost less then 300 for the set and test fitted and sure enough fits no modification needed. Now they only come in white so had them powder coated black for that oem look!

I sure the F is rigid from factory but the IS F CCS-R has additional bracing so Im sure it provides some benefit.

Looks pretty good.. Now get back to the track & let us know how it feels!

Also, how's the RR Racing air box upgrade/tune working out?

Strut bars look great in there! I'm sure there is some added rigidity in there as well. Loving the gutted look in the trunk as well. I'm assuming you've taken out your spare tire? How much weight do you think you were able to shave off?

Thanks!

Yes carbon fiber was all done by Carbon Fiber Element. Mirrors, Bezels, Rear Tray Etc .

BC are ok but upgrading soon to KW V3's have them on my FRS and love them.

Those looks good - and the fact that there are no pivot points must provide some increase to rigidity.

Cant wait to hear the results.

Funny thing is I've been eyeing their bars for a bit. Had one for my IS300 few years ago and was impressed with the quality!

Does the bar touch the engine cover at all?

I was under the impression that front strut bars have little to no impact to vehicle rigidity if the front suspension is a double wishbone set-up. It's explained in detail in this video from Engineering Explained.

No doesn't touch anything. CCS-R and RCF both have strut braces so I guess there is room for more assistance on flex up front.
