Default weird noise coming from engine bay. HELP!!

So earlier today i noticed this unusual noise coming from the engine bay. You cannot hear it if your sitting inside the car. Only time you can hear it is if the car is running and you happen to be standing in front of the car.

The noise isn't constant and tends to come and go. After about 6 plus tries trying to film it, I finally got a clip where you can hear it for a bit.

Before I take the car to the mechanic for them to try to figure out what it is, I figure I ask if any other members had experienced it before. I have tried to locate the source, but haven't had any luck yet. Really want to fix this ASAP so i don't miss the meet on sunday

Disclaimer: not mechanically inclined myself

Could be the tensioner or water pump...it sure sounds like some pulley related issue. I'm leaning towards belt tensioner.......

I'm going to have to agree with the tensioner idea. See if u can shine a light down there and see if you see any wobble

I am going to try to see if I can see if there is a wobble in a few minutes.

I think I have only redlined this thing once. Have not had a chance to redline it yet to check for the belt slip noise. Actually have been extra cautious since I heard the noise this morning.

Checked to see if there was a wobble and could not see it. Taking it to a local mechanic I know to see if we can put it on a lift and he can help me locate the source.

Why does stuff go wrong two days before the meet. fml.

I'm not 100% sure if it has. Previous owner may have done it, but I haven't in the two years I've had it. It's been to the local dealership couple of times and don't recall them mentioning anything

Had my local mechanic take a look and it looks like the tensioner. Went to the dealership to get one, but they dont have any in stock and have to order it. It will take 2-3 days to get here so wont be here in time for the meet

I figure since I am going to probably miss the meet, might as well try to get a better price for the items online since our ONE and only lexus dealership in town isn't always a good option for pricing.

Tensioner: $272.19
Belt: $69.92
Wiring Harness (broken in video i posted): $105.78
Sadness of missing the meet: unfathomable

Wife said just drive it like it is to the meet. lol

Update:

Ended up getting all 3 things from "mylparts.com" and received our 10% clublexus discount. Total for everything was only $285. Its literally $200.00 bucks cheaper than my local Lexus dealership. CRAZY.

Thanks for everyones help that chimed in. Will update once tensioner is received and installed. Hope everybody else enjoys the meet. Bummed I wont be able to make it

Houseoflexus.com here in San diego brother same price picked up as will call . 286 with everything so you won't miss meet and install upon returning. Check it out I just ordered stuff for my F so hopefully don't have to miss the meet either .

I checked their hours and they are actually closed on Saturday and Sunday

Plus my biggest concern is driving over 500 miles with the tensioner issue may not be a viable option. Locally if something happens, I can easily get it towed home, but meet being on a Sunday, I just didnt want to get stranded somewhere.

This is the first time ive heard the noise, so not sure how much I have already driven on it.

Drive it to the meet anyway! If not drive another car, but if I lived out there and had a chance I wouldn't miss that meet even if I had to take an Uber
