Do any of you know if the 2009 version suffers from some of the same reliability things as the 2008MY? Water pump, valley leak, mealting interior? I've heard they have the water pump issue still.

I do believe there were some water pump issues reported from some 09 owners. Nothing too major though, as extended warranty would cover it. But if one doesn't have a warranty, there was a DIY on installing it.

Melting interior will be a case by case situation. Those who leave it out in the sun are more prone to have melting dashes or cracked interiors. There have been some who had it replaced by going through various channels of Lexus communication, some who've been offered up to 50% of repairs, and and some who've been denied.

Overall, there are no real pressing issues to worry about. The vast majority of owners are still pleased with the vehicle because it is more than likely problem-free in comparison to the competition. Less headaches and a more enjoyable ownership experience as a result.

I got an 08 with 80K miles with no issues at all, except that I need more money for mod parts haha.

Ya I owned an 08'. I was juat wondering if the 09's had any of the "possible" issues the 08 did. More then one 08 model had the above issues including the one I owned. The prior owner had them fixed before selling though and the car felt like new.
