I have a question. My 2012 ISF has this weird hesitation going on. On manual mode with Sport, I would try to accelerate pretty hard and around 5k RPM, it would bog down and hesitate. Almost feeling like it's choking. Has anyone felt this before?
I've had this issue on occasion as well but around 3-4K RPM. Never any hesitation above that so I just figured the car doesn't like being floored at low rpms..
I know this sounds stupid but you are turning traction off right? If you don't it will bog down until traction is caught.
Not stupid at all mate. But yes I did turn off tc completely. Still happened. It's weird. When coasting on the highway, I'll put it in M mode, sport, and then punch the accelerator. When it gets to around 5k, the engine will choke and the rpm drops (while my foot is still pegged to the floor).
But anyway, i ordered an AOS, a new air filter, and got some electrical cleaner to spray the MAF. I'll see if it comes back.
You can buy 1 can of BG44K to clean fuel system and you will see the results
Thanks mate, that was next on my list. In fact, I was going to pull off the injectors and get them cleaned. But the issue isn't consistent. It's random. Should dirty fuel system show consistency?
I had something similar happen to me today. Floor the car off the line and from 5k to redline its almost like it was choking or like it was being held back..throw it in 2nd gear and tjres squealing and it moves. Best way i can describe it is if anyone has ever driven a honda before its almost as if "vtec" doesnt kick in. I unplugged the battery for a while i just have to go for a test run again
Check to confirm that your air box is sealed all the way around. I had a similar issue and it was because the dealer checked my air filter and did not properly close the box...it was open at the bottom.

Will that do it? It was under load so it makes sense. I do have a crack in the air box but it's pre-filter so I didn't think it would affect it.
I didn't think it would have an affect since that's before MAF.
