Just to add a little more information about this rolling chassis we stumbled upon...
This vehicle is called a "body in white". This means that the unibody was provided to the race team in pre-production (no under coating or anything) with no VIN by the manufacturer. Back in 2008, DRC Motorsports received 3 bodies and finished 2 complete cars to compete in the Speed World Challenge racing series. This was their spare chassis, so it never received a drivetrain. DRC used the 4.7 in their cars, and from what I could find it really was not too competitive. And yes, these were IS350s if you can even call them that.
We are by no means professional race car builders, but enthusiasts that share a passion for the 2IS and were looking for a track car build. This is a total blank canvas. We want to run in a few different race series, so engine choices will need to be thought out and tactical to place us in certain groups. There is a lot of work that needs to be done, so stay tuned for many awesome things to come.

There were 2 versions of this car...the blue from DRC, and the red/orange CL ones. Both came from the same composite shop in Flowery Branch, GA. Zach and I will be able to replicate either vehicle, which each have subtle differences in both the front facia and the side skirts.
