Catless now.. there is no value to add a header and not remove the cat.

I would think that adding the cats would reduce your drone.

Of course there is. Running Hi-Flows, I figure I'm losing 7 to 10RWHP. But, IMHO, it's the environmentally responsible thing to do. I am not a real green guy, and I have full boltons, but running cats just makes sense to me.

I agree Lou. I've been behind vehicles with bad/no cats. Breathing in that s***t is horrible.

I did that in my 2007 IS 350.. Had PPE header, could never solve CEL and VSC issues (there a long thread in the IS 2nd-Generation) due to a lack of O2 sim at that time. I installed PPE high flow cat.. it solves the CEL and VSC problems but it also crippled the car to feeling like back to stock.. the awesome sound was gone.. the power was gone.. if I knew that the high flow would do that.. I would have never install header in the first place.

They make weld on helmholtz chambers FYI. Order up the exhaust you want, purchase helmholtz, and have a weld shop weld it on before the install.

Default Sound valve

I have the Borla exhaust and the drown between 1000rpm and 1800rpm is too much. I plugged the lower to pipes and the drown stopped.
If I put two exhaust valves on will it do any harm to the exhaust?

The secondary cat that is removed with the Borla system won't throw a CEL, I hope?

I ask because I have Borla on the way and opted to not get a high flow cat replacement
