Default Question about interior rattle

I have a 09 ISF and at times it seems like there is a squeaking noise coming from the cluster. Is this common and whats the fix. I know there was a TSB with the 350s about the felt on the clips from the dash but I havent seen anything with the ISF.. Please help so I can keep my sanity

Hi, Tanin Auto Electronic here. We are happy to help out if we can. For starters, are you absolutely positive that the sound is coming from the cluster? Once that has been determined, we would recommend checking the top clips of the cluster to make sure it is installed all the way. There is cloth attached to the two top clips that could either have come off, causing a rattle, or kept the two top tabs from attaching completely.

Just a couple of ideas for you. Keep us posted and let us know if we can be of help at all!

I am fairly certain but I can not pin point the exact location. The noise is not all the time which makes it difficult to see exactly where it's coming from

Don't feel bad. I have a few annoying *** squeaks coming from the car. Own being by the A pillar inside where it meets the dashboard in the corner. I push down on it a bit problem solved. A litte bit as well on the driver side but not near as bad. One of these days when it isn't cold and rainy I will look at it more on depth. 08 my. The sunroof also has some noise coming from it.

I've fixed a few rattles from interior pieces by putting a bit of butyl rubber tape from behind.

Step one is 3M dry silicone spray on all rubber seals around the doors and sunroof. It does an amazing job of killing random buzzing and clicking.

Same issue here. Every time I think I got it, it comes back once the climate changes a bit. So annoying

Have to try the foam tape I guess but not sure how the hell I am going to get it inderneath to adhere. I would assume most of the squeaks came via the harder suspension of the earlier models? Every car with higher miles like mine will squeak though

So is there a TSB or is this a common problem? And what did you tell them when you went in? In other words Im just trying to see how you pin pointed the location.
