For the record, our 2008 Isf OEM forged BBS 19 x 9" rears rims weigh 27 lbs. Not light.

Real rims are not necessarily light. Or forged.

I definitely think it just comes down to your own preference. I plan on using a set of Rohana RF2's as daily wheels for my car this year. I don't know if they are well made or not, but don't really care. As for track, I am going to use the stock wheels for this year.

FWIW.... I have had many rep wheels over time and never had any issues with any of them.

Can you please post the statistics of how many people have lost their life because they were running replica wheels from a credible source?

Thanks

Guys, surely we all agree this is one of those topics that can be debated till the day we are all pushing up daisies!

The op has made his mind up from seeing that video omen he found, the rest of us will continue to buy whatever we want, for the reasons we deem appropriate.

Think we've seen good arguments from both sides.

As long as the buyer knows the score when they spend their hard earned cash, that's all that matters.

No matter what is said from either camp, there will always be a divide on this one.

People will continue to buy replica's, others will save a bit harder and buy the more expensive originals.

Nothing will change that.

Let's just move on to other fun stuff like superchargers!

Would you buy a replica supercharger?

Let the morons with rep wheels keep buying them. Soon enough they'll sort themselves out of the gene pool and only people with real wheels will be left (Wooh!)

Sigh, only in a perfect world.

3 things to never talk about at holiday get togethers:

1. Politics
2. Religion
3. Authentic vs Rep Wheels

I injected a couple marijuanas into my car, and now it's addicted to meth.

"he said that he doesn't care if replica wheels are well made or not" which I assume is just an exaggeration of him saying that he will buy replica wheels. You said that he could be putting his life on the line by buying replica wheels.
