These should make more power than Novel's due to the long tube design.

Why the $500 increase in price over the RCF?

Dennis

R&D, materials, RCF cost $ so the owners are bound to have more $$(jk btw)

I just edited my first post - I forgot that My wheels and tires have changed. I'm now running RCF wheels with larger 295 vs 285 rears, so wheel weight is up a bit!

Sorry for the lapse of memory

Pricing isn't bad but your close to Novel territory for equal length headers that just bolt up and sound amazing.

I for one wish these were cheaper as I want to sell mine used to get these but that's not feasible with that cost. Don't let me discount them though, these are worth the money just not to me right now.
Yeah that's getting up there in price for sure.

Aren't Novel headers like 7k? Or was that 7k for headers and exhaust?

Last time I checked novel headers and exhaust was like 15k but I think that also included novel tune.

Thanks for posting Lou. We are hoping to take this further and work on the exhaust side of things to get more efficiency throughout the rest of the system and get more sound interaction. The time between dynos is still a variable and it did change the power curve at the low end so its not as indicative as the raw numbers would indicate. Still plenty of work to be done.

Thanks Mike - hopefully the PPE exhaust doesn't need to be changed too much the idea of buying another new exhaust doesn't seem appealing! But hey that's just me.

Well I would say that most exhausts could be adapted as was mentioned previously, however it all comes down to if you want to to do that. The convenient thing about the PPE exhaust is that the B pipes from the header flange back to the x pipe are separate pieces that can be easily shortened and the Norma connections allow a higher degree of misalignment than a v-band. Bottom line is that it should make the car sound pretty outrageous if we can merge everything back to a single before we split it back out again and HP numbers aside, the sound alone will be worth it.

^^^^^^^

Makes sense, thanks for the clarification.

Maybe it will end up being just a new set of front pipes, kinda like an 'upgrade' option.

So the real question is, will/are you selling the old system?

Not at all. Had a Boss 302 when I was (much) younger and it loped at idle. Sounds badass to me.

Hey Lou,

That's a very trick system you have there. The increased "area under the curve" on your dyno chart is impressive.

Did PPE advise the length of the primary tubes?

You had a Boss 302? So did I back in 1970, worst car I ever owned Grabber Blue with the shaker. I blew the engine up 3 times. You couldn't get an extended warranty on it, so at the end of the year I traded it in on a '71 GTO, actually my second GTO.

Love to buy but don't want try unless I can hear what they actually sound like.
I'm sure I'm not alone in that regard.
Could we please please get some static revving and some pulls?

Thank you so much!

Any chance a short tube version of this header would universally mate up with existing exhaust set ups like the UEL ISF header from PPE currently does? I'm guessing there would be a much LARGER market for an EL Header product that DIDN'T require you to also replace your existing exhaust (aftermarket or otherwise).

Bump for audio clips Pretty pretty please??
