i honestly wasn't gonna get the warranty either because it was almost $4k but knowing how expensive the transmission, engine and lexus parts are i decided to get it so far it has paid off. if i didn't have warranty i would have gotten ppe headers. i never ask for pics but i could emailed my service advisor and see if they have any

You know what I was going to ask you to see the cracked manifold and compare it to mine that we took off on Sat??................ Did they say you couldn't have the part??

As far as I know they usually don't give back parts replaced under warranty, maybe if you asked but still I wouldn't bet on it.

^^^^It's my opinion that parts replaced under warranty are returned to Lexus. This is proof that the work was actually done.

Makes sense, didn't know if it was the same with aftermarket warranties like how it's an automatic thing for the OEM parts to go back to Lexus if they are replaced under the bumper to bumper or powertrain warranty?

I saw a LEMS Japan video today that I posted that showed the manifolds glowing bright red on an ISF. I showed my wife and she said, " your poor car"!!!😂😂ðŸ‘ðŸ½

Have had a slight tick, and then just noticed a pretty loud rattle on cold start that went away after a few seconds. I just got back from Octoberfest and did a LOT of WOT pulls in the passing lanes. Ima guess I got a crack haha. Headers added to the list I guess.

Mine has been fine since the morning it ran like crap, still ticks of course but it definitely isn't acting up like it was that morning, I think manifolds with the crack have a very poor response to cold weather - thats the only difference between that morning and every other i can think of, it was roughly 40 out that morning. Maybe someone else has noticed this.

Awesome! I've always been amazed to see metal get so hot, that it looks like it's about to melt.. Yet, it still maintains its form.

Could someone list all the negative points of a leaking exhaust manifold?

e.g.
-Power loss
-Inhaling exhaust fumes into the cabin
-...

my loud start up ticking is getting worse - to a point that if I stick my nose under the hood by each side of the header I could smell it only coming from my passenger side.
(wonder if it is a crack or when the mechanic changed out my starter they did not install the gasket properly / tightly / etc etc
