As long as I can still use my lovely RR-Racing titanium intake pipe, I'm happy!

Depends on the form of forced induction. On a positive displacement type blower you can't really get it too big, bigger is better. On turbo or "blow through" type supercharger (centri) as long as it is not smaller than the piping that is correct, not much benefit to increasing the size.
