For the non-varex version - any regrets / thoughts? Sound good? Better than varex?

I just sent an email to Snail Performance asking how we can ensure only new, updated product is being sent to customers and that this new product does not need any modification. We'll see what the deal is... I don't want to have to spend extra time making this thing fit... I want to bolt it on and call it a day.

Ok guys just installed my varex on my car with headers. With the muffler open it sounds like a v10 m5 on the highway..with the muffler closed it sounds very quiet which is awesome. My system came with one controller, two remotes, and the two into one power harness. For those who do have headers do not use the bosal or oem gaskets by the headers..they will leak. I found out the hard way. Use what they provide.

Man that doesn't sound too bad. Perhaps some revs with open/close

Nice - I had to buy the two into one harness.

Couple of Questions:

- Did you plug in at the arm rest cig lighter or did you hardwire it? I am looking to keep all equipment in the trunk - but not sure where to pull power from.

- does yours leak when driving aggressively with the flap closed? Mine does - sounds like a high pressure air leak.

I did use the plug in the armrest at least for now and im not sure if it leaks. I finished the car around 10pm last night and just did a quick drive, but i was too tired to do anything else. Ill get some more videos this weekend.

Are you on factory headers still or aftermarket/catless?

I have ppe headers so no cats. After driving the car some more this weekend I like how it sounds at low speeds and also high speeds full throttle, but im not 100% sold on the sound in the mid range. I think i will get a pair of high flow cats welded in to quiet down the noise a little and control the smell.

What is everyone using for cats? Ppe?

I have stock headers and the non-varex x-force exhaust and after about a week or two it quiets down(or maybe i just got used to it?) so I would recommend waiting until you know what the exhaust will sound like. If Summit doesn't have the exhaust try Snail Performance, that's where i got mine for $629 no tax and no shipping.
