Developing the isf the way they should have
I have been on quite the tangent of modding the heck out of my car lately. This just topped his list even over the rr race tune.. Using stock Lexus parts (is250 manual) I have successfully made a functional parking brake setup! It locks like #%^ too (new drift initiation procedure or battle that understeer lol!!!) it is fully bolted in and installed to stock cables, I have to get my dremel from my brother to cut out the stock trim piece because I don't wanna drop another $400+ on the oem trim when it's just a small cutout and a custom boot
Also is the new limited edition gold dual 25 row oil cooler setup, it's made to fit like oem (just like the oem trans cooler but will be on both sides to provide oil cooling on the engine oil)
Enjoy!!

So is that hand brake a hydraulic handbrake for drifting? or a normal handbrake?

It's not the greatest but I'm gonna try a few sets of shoes to see if they might offer more bite, my isf's understeer isn't that bad anymore, was terrible stock but my cars suspension is nearly completely redone so this is more of a last resort effort to get her to go around and cosmetic appeal.

No problemo! The car has the provisions there, just gotta drill the two mounting holes and make a simple doubler to reinforce the area since it is thin sheet metal if you want to be rippin on it! It only uses two mounting points, and you have to remove the "auto" heater ducting to install it and trim the panel to accomodate the handle movement (have yet to do this but measured how far and where to cut it). I used 250x1.125" bolts and a piece of .125 steel with a hole as a doubler.

The cable gets loosened by a 10mm deep socket on the foot peddle, do not completely remove it. The cable wraps under the dash to the trans tunnel to the underside of the airbag module. The underside heat shielding needs to be removed to be able to disconnect the single cable to twin cable doubler to swap to the handbrake cable end, I then just tucked the cable aside and left out the airbag module bracket since it was a pita to remove and not knowing how this would work it was not worth the reinstall.bso I hooked up the cable and cable mount is not the same, it leaves a small gap around it and I was only able to bolt up one bolt at the moment but it is just to hold the cable sleeve in place. Once it is hooked up you can adjust the tension on the handbrake with a 10mm deep socket like the foot brakes adjustment, I am making a small stopping block to set the stopping point on the handbrake, it drops too low to the side trim, the manual side trim will also help alleviate being able to grab the handle (which is full leather with a chrome button like the oem shifter!!!) over all it was about $250 through Lexus of south Atlanta

Thanks Justin for the additional pics. & write up, you da man!!
Just yesterday was eyeballing a manual Is250 on Craigslist, the ad included a couple of close-up shots of the console w/e-brake & shifter.
$250 new for the assembly seems an incredible deal. This just might be my next mod.
