X-Force vs JoeZ - Side By Side Compare
Ok so I had a JoeZ and then the X-Force exhaust came out shortly after I got it and decided to go with X-Force. The reason why I went with X-Force is because the mufflers are bolt on and I can easily make Dual blast pipes much like RR-Racing offers. This way its 4 simple bolts to be loud or quiet.
Heres the exhausts side by side. Pretty much the same design, the way its sectioned is just different.
However the pipe to flange placement and the welds don't compare to the JoeZ. The JoeZ is has more attention to detail and can tell pride was in place when making it. The X-Force is just a "Budget" exhaust and it shows.
JoeZ Flange: (Sorry little dirty but can see how nice the pipe is seated in the flange)
X-Force Flange: Its a bit off and you can see the grinding to try to smooth it out
JoeZ Welds:
X-Force Welds:
The mandrel bends on the X-Force are choppy unlike the JoeZ which are butter smooth. Hopefully you can see the bumps in the X-Force in these pictures.
The conclusion is JoeZ is the better constructed exhaust across the board. However I can't see the interworking of the exhaust being so different that the JoeZ would be that much better hp wise.
The X-Force does need the muffler hangers welded in place because is was designed on a Europe vehicle though.
For those of you who are buying X-Force and can weld like myself of have a local welder here are the measurements for the hangers. Simply grind off and re-weld!

Thanks for the pictures, very informative. I agree about the quality not looking as good but like you say it can't affect hp that much.
I contacted X Force and have been given the details of a German stockist. I have emailed them to see if they can supply the Varex version of the exhaust. Looking forward to your views of the exhaust once it has been fitted and bedded in. Any chance of some videos?

Thanks for the feedback!! This is great info for people considering this exhaust, I love when members get in depth like this and help us all out. Kudos to you.
How's the sound? I love my ISS but I've been considering something adjustable. At first I wanted meistershaft but my wallet may not agree with that decision lol!

Not a problem guys.
Haven't had a chance to install yet its cold but I'm gonna try for this weekend or next. Gonna do my RR Racing intake, Oil to air separator and gutting of cats at the same time
Nope not in the US
To be honest it isn't worth it. The changing of the exhaust flow means changing of the ecu parameters
If you leave it open for 20 miles then close it because you want it quite again the ecu doesn't have enough time to calibrate for the change and show any performance increase or decrease. To me it wouldn't even be worth the time.Pick how you want it to sound (flow) and leave it

Thanks for the info - clearly the Joe Z is a better made product and I agree that it will likely not translate into any significant power differences between the 2.
I am also glad to see the X-Force is not a straight up rep of the Joe Z - looks like XForce did the R&D themselves (instead of stealing Joe Z's design).

Just hope the install is as smooth as JoeZ

Interesting comparison. I find it kind of odd that the car has been out for so long and is basically discontinued and is just now seeing budget exhaust options available. You would think companies like Varex would have done this years ago if they thought there was any profit to be made. Although, I guess now that the car is a few years older, maybe more people who are into modding can afford one.
