I ran the 245/35, 285/30 combo (Potenza S-04s) for a number of years on my stock '08 wheels before I upgraded to my RCF wheels:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-position.html

The combo worked Great for me

Go 235/265. Don't want to lose the steering response by going with tires too wide for the oem rim widths especially 2011 wheels. Wider is not always better and it doesn't mean u have more traction unless the contact patch is more (not always the case when going wide wider tires)

^^^^IMHO the original ISF was way under tired and came with wheels that were too narrow. Lexus sort of rectified the wheel situation in 2012, but for some reason stuck with the same size tires front and rear. They corrected this error with the RCF that finally has meaty tires up front

I can attest that 245/35 on stock wheels or 255/35 on wider than stock wheels work and fit great up front and with the proper size rear tire (275/30, 285/30 or 295/30) greatly reduce the understeer inherent in the stock ISF with stock wheels and tires.

My ISF with RCF wheels, 255/35 & 295/30 tires, F-Sport rear sway bar and RRRacing lower LCA bushings absolutely has no understeer IMO and is extremely neutral handling. I may just keep this car forever

i have to agree with you, the isf was way under tire and develop for sure, the car has so many ways to get improved and a lot of owners have done that over the years. i would to own RCF wheel some day as they are perfect for our ISF's. but for now i will upsize the tires when mine become due for a change.

Could you please give exact spec of RCF wheels? I might consider new wheels... Did you need to modify your fenders to use these tires? Will PSS fit? (they are a bit wider than Bridgestones).

After calculating / reading different threads I'm not convinced about 245 / 275 combo with PSS on '08 rims, especially that I want to take it to track from time to time.

Just to verify, many here are recommending 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear PSS's on the 2008-11 size wheels?

Wheel specs are 9s (+50) and 10s (+41). BTW, these specs are listed in other threads. Yes, I needed to roll the rear fenders.

I'm really not trying to convince you of anything except to share my experiences with the 245, 285 combo that I had used for 5 years.

Yes many members have that combo and it works fine for them. Do a search and you'll find many threads on that particular combo.

Was just browsing on Tirerack.com. The 235/35/19 Front, 265/30/19 Rear Michelin Pilot Super Sports are actually cheaper than the OEM size 225/40/19 Front, 255/35/19 Rear Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Must be an unpopular size.

Proposed:

235/35/19 diameter 25.5" 817 revolutions per mile 91Y load rating
265/30/19 diameter 25.3" 822 revolutions per mile 93Y load rating

OEM:

225/40/19 diameter 26.1" 797 revolutions per mile 93Y load rating
255/35/19 diameter 26.0" 799 revolutions per mile 96Y load rating

What most of us are running:

245/35/19 diameter 25.8" 807 revolutions per mile 93Y load rating
275/30/19 diameter 25.6" 814 revolutions per mile 96Y load rating

What I am running:

255/35/19 diameter 26.0" 799 revolutions per mile 96Y load rating
275/30/19 diameter 25.6" 814 revolutions per mile 96Y load rating

What would be ideal:

295/30/19 on all four corners.

Ok. Seems like the 245/35/19 & 275/30/19 is the best size choice if you want to go bigger on the 2008-2011 OEM size wheels.
