Does anyone know if this is the stuff a main dealer would use? My local dealer recommended having a fuel treatment done anually as part of the service package. At £15/$21 it's not overly expensive when compared to the other injector cleaners on the market over here.

I use acetone in my tank. I use 4 ounces a full tank and it does wonders. Almost all fuel injector cleaners use a bit of it. It also makes my car idle smoother.

The part number for the bottle in the image is 00289-EFI00 I believe. I wasn't given a part number by the Lexus dealer I visited but I'll be asking for one before I buy the service package.

I've heard of using Acetone before, does it act as a cleaner and raise the octane level??

I will seafoam my 07 is250 with 70k miles over the weekend because when I floor it, it would hesitate for a second and then take off. Don't know if this is normal on all the IS.

Normal on all IS250. If you look in the 2IS forum, you will find carbon issues with the 250's engine are common. 350s and Fs do not have these issues.

Yes it cleans out the fuel system the same way BG44k will and raises octane level too. BG44K was one fuel system cleaner that had results too by the way.

a lot of these injector cleaners are just Ethanol.

Go pump 4-5 gallons of E-85 in with your normal tank of gas, and I bet it will clear right up.

I'm betting the IS-F has enough fueling to use E85 full time. Especially since the computer is always adjusting A/F to a specific limit.

I ran about 4 gallons in my fill up without any issues at all. Didn't really notice any changes though, but certainly never had a funny idle.
