Default ISFPOWER DIY : Air Intake Scoops ( ISS replica)

ive been seeing a lot of DIY scoops been made for the ISF lately by members. no offense, but they are ugly, lol. here is a better way of making it look a lot more professional and "pretty"

im on the m6 forums too (other car), a member has made some out of aluminum.

Step 1:
By paper I made a fitting model how it should look like, en fit in the car.
This step took most time, as it was trial and error before I had the correct dimensions (see picture with all dimensions on it)

Step 2
Copy the Paper model to the alu sheet and cut out the pieces

step 3
Cut and bent the alu sheet in correct shape.
Remark: try fitting it before poprivet the parts !

Step 4
Poprivet the sides to eachother

Step 5
Painting the parts
I used several layers of paint, to have good coverage

step 6
Finish with decal and clear coat (several layers)

step 7
Mounting the parts in the car

Scoops are super common on BMW's, first thing I thought of when I saw this thread and sure enough you are a fellow M enthusiast haha. Nice man, looks pretty slick.

Nice work! I've been toying around with the idea, but I haven't come up with anything I really want to go with.
