Don't know the cars history, but it looks like it was taken care of and loved from that one picture.

Just because it was taken to the track does not mean it was abused or poorly taken care of. In fact, knowing that the member was on here might lead to a peace of mind. From what I have seen, many members here do take care of their vehicles. The IS F is known for having that dual option. It has the technology for one to enjoy it on the track but also have the luxury of being a street cruiser.

I personally would not use the track as the reason for not getting the car. I'd much rather choose a car that was meticulously taken care of than some punk idiot who revs it at will and drifts it all over the place because he thinks he can.

Have an independent mechanic look at it if you're interested. It should reveal some things that may not show up on a vehicle history report or even what the seller may convey.

Best of luck and hope to see you in your F soon. There are a few of us in the 626, and it'll be fun to spot another.

Get it inspected and go from there. Spending 100-200 bucks now will save you from a $40, 000 mistake

Well I think its all the same at any Lexus Dealers but the dealer in Houston charged 130 bucks. Its the same 160 point L certified inspection they give all of thier cars. And you can have them do more if you want. I.e compression leak down etc.

10 track days on my F in 19 months and she is stong and run perfectly. I ALWAYS do oil changes every 5k and all service at the dealership. I say do a prepurchase inspection at the dealership and ask if the water pump has been replaced and go for it
