Definitely awesome company to keep!
Maybe I should start a thread but I guess I'll ask here first... Curious to see what kind of numbers some forum members have put up on this track with the F with aftermarket springs/coilovers, I/E/H?!?

VIR is a track that really benefits high power cars. Last time I ran there we hit 140+mph on the front straight and 150+mph on the back straight. I can only imagine what we could do with another 150hp or so (pssst.. working on that
Although M5 time was not too impressive given the power, not sure why it did so poorly (relatively).

I honestly do not remember my lap times (it was back in February), but in any case we did not run the exact same configuration they use for the lightening laps. Since VA is my best chance of tracking in February, I am sure we'll be back there early next year... but with sticky tires, our RRR/Penske's, downforce, and more power.
If everything goes to plan, we will try to do One Lap of America next year. Not expecting a great results since I don't know any of the tracks they visit, but mainly for durability testing and fun.

Noticed how the 2011 IS-F posted a slightly(4 10ths of a second) quicker time than the new 2016 RC-F, which has 50 more horsepower under the hood.
Is it lighter weight or a better sorted chassis, or both? I've heard the RC is a dissapointment, in that its more of a fast GT car than an all out sports car designed to turn impressive lap times.
Also noticed that the new CTS-V is a good 3 seconds quicker than any other 4 door they've tested. In terms of lap times, 3 seconds is an eternity.

New CTS-V is a great car, but remember, VIR is a high speed track, and CTS-V has 650hp!
I tracked the RCF and ISF back to back at NJMP... My impression is that its a great car, but due to the weight, it actually benefits from a proper suspension upgrade even more than the ISF.

This past weekend I ran a 2:12.74 on VIR Full, other 2:12s, and several 2:13-14 on the stock Bridgestones and stock 2011 ISF. I used Harry's Lap Timer and theoretical best was 2:11.37 based on fastest sector times.
I ran in the advanced group and for bragging rights I passed a new BMW M4 and a McLaren MP4-12C. It was so sweet to watch the McLaren's wing work under braking and high speeds. No doubt the McLaren in the right hands would be unbeatable but the M4 was a good race.... also the ISF fared well against an E92 M3 that was on track tires.

I really wish they'd run the Lightning Lap on the normal full course (vs the grand course) so folks could have some comparators to what clubs most often run at events.
So great to see all the IS-Fs going out the track though! There used to be an HPDE instructor either with BMWCCA or PCA that had an IS-F but haven't seen him in a while (my wife instructs with both).

Ask any racer - what's the first question when you tell someone you won? "Who else was there?"

Really good times there. I ran consistent 2:10's in my F last time i tracked it at VIR. I was excedding 155 on both front and back straights. I was braking at 300 feet on both straights. Talk about scary.
My NASA GTS2 M3 race car with only 220whp and 2700 lbs with me in it i can brake at 150 to 200 feet and run 2:10's all day. Trying to go sub 2:10 is one of my goals for next year. My brakes are just as big as the F's lol.
I do wish they ran the full course though so i can see how i stack up against the times as well.
