Thanks Peter. Safe travel buddy. I am excited to see what else the photographer sends me. This is the final shot I need to complete the garage gallery for all the tracks in Arizona . I have a shot from this track from another photographer but the shot isnt that great. Honestly the cherry on top of the entire track day thing for me is that beautiful 20x30 photo I get to mount in the garage afterwards . It's kind of like a trophy for me and it makes the garage look even better. Looking forward to Arizona Motorsports Park in 2 weeks. Wife has to work but hoping I can make it for at least the last 2-3 sessions of the day. If not they run them pretty much every 1-2 weeks here in AZ this time of the year. This is the best time of the year to live in the desert

Thanks , Rafi. She held pretty well, but as usual you were right about the wear. They are soft as hell , but the grip is staggering with these sizes. I honestly feel like the car is so much more balanced and consistent at the limit

Hey guys I just wanted to update something on the set up. This is an item that many of us dont focus on with new wheels and that is hub rings. I know we all know you need to have them and I got a set from HRE. The main issue is that they are made of plastic. The head of Flow Formed division at HRE discussed this me and said " you'll have no problems with our rings "...........well that was not 100% correct. When I took my car into the wheel specialists ( very high end shop in town for wheels ) they told me there was play in the rear, and this was after discount tire told me that HRE sent the wrong size for the front. Thankfully I had the insight ( or anxiety from previous experiences ) to not only order new rings I order custom rings milled from the highest quality Alcoa 6061 t6 billet Aluminum . The car felt pretty smooth but had a slight vibration ( very slight ) between 92-95 mph. Most balancing and tire issues show up between 72-84 mph in my experience. Anyway had the custom milled rings installed and the car rides better than my stocks. With these rings the wheels are effectively hubcentric and will stay that way with tons of abuse at the track and will not dry and crack like a plastic rings. I keep imagining all the heat on those plastic rings from the heavy braking at the track.

BUY METAL HUB RINGS ALWAYS !!!! Dont buy that plastic rings !!.........or at least this F'r will not be. Just wanted to share my experience because I know there will be another out there with the same issue.

Love this setup, cleanest looking wheels I've seen on the ISF!!!!!!!!!

Wish I went the metal hub ring route. I always chased a slight vibration and maybe that was the issue!

Looks great, really flushed! I'll be surprised if you can get by without scraping just from rolling fenders. I've read it's hard to get by unless you shave them instead. But if you can clear them then it's all good.

You are 100% correct. Rolled them and still rubbed slightly. I wanted it perfect because I do so much track time. I didnt want the fender rubbing at high speed. I rolled then shaved at about 10'clock. People need to know to shave the fender lip where the fender meets the bumper inside the fender. It was very easy. All I would recommend would be to make sure you raise the car with the jack so you have more room to get the metal file in and out and to give you access at the right angles as you shave. I did it manually with a ton of elbow grease

I swear my HREs ride better than my oem wheels. That has NEVER happened in 12 years on tuning cars and half a dozen sets of wheels and tires. I will never use plastic rings again. There is always that little vibration that just drives you crazy. Mine was about 92-95 mph. Usually balancing shows up between 72-84 mph. These rings are so robust that it truly makes the wheel hubcentric. I dont think I could bend them with a hammer

You should tell him we want FF01 wheels in 19" 5x114.3 with appropriate offsets.

I have a feeling that , like most after market companies, they dont care about Lexus. He even said that most of the FF line come in a hub centric design but that they didnt do that with some brands because they didnt want so much inventory, and that it was easier for them to use rings on a more universal wheel.

Id say they probably dont sell a lot of HRE wheels to Lexus owners
